Muskoka Meandering Musings

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip through Muskoka. We extended it over to 2 days allowing to do more of the stops on the second day às we drove back through to go home. This trip took us to 3 unique spots, so interesting!! We feel like cwe know Muskoka much better now and will be back again 😍

We love this idea to split things up over two days, there is so much to see! :) We couldn't be happier that you enjoyed your trip!

Great Day!

So nice to do a trip without the thinking!
The Bakery in the first stop in Gravenhurst was beyond amazing. The donuts were huge and fresh and so cheap. The Peninsula Trail was also a great little spot as well.
Hardy Lake Provincial park was such a leisurely hike, beautiful and peaceful. Great tip about the bathing suits. So nice to go for a dip and sun tan on a big rock.
We went to the feature stop on the third stop- Clear Lake Brewing Co. Now while the beer was very good, the stop was a little disappointing and food was a little over priced for what it was. We wish we had gone to Jack and Stella in Bala! Suchhhh a cute town. Jack and Stella have a beautiful little bar in the back, with some delicious cocktails and a good beer selection, and, of course you can’t beat being right on the water. It would have been nice to know they served. There was so many nice shops, bakery’s and a little donut stand right beside Jack and Stella. The Bala Falls were really cool and lots of history.
For the fourth stop, we were so tired and running out of time. We had been to Port Carling before and loved Turtle Jacks, so we opted for Muskoka Lakes Farm and Winery and were a little disappointed. Although the history behind it was very interesting, the place was completely dead and it took away from the fun of the afternoon.
All in all, it was an amazing day and I’m so excited to do another Guess Where Trip in the future!

Girls Getaway - Muskoka Meandering

This was my second Guess Where Trip and enjoyed the digital version this time and the cost savings! It was very helpful to see the general area that this road trip took us as we decided to book a two night stay in Gravenhurst.
I also liked the options outlined at each stop which was different than before.

Muskoka Meandering

We enjoyed the trip however a lot of locations were not open. We travelled on May 8th and some trails were closed and others had not been cleared for hikers. I did try to check before we left but your travel site wouldn’t work. I had called earlier to check if my timing would work. It was a little disappointing. I would very much like to hear back from your staff as I am hoping this is not the experience we purchased it should have been much better.

Hi Karen! We don't have an office phone, can I ask how you tried to contact us so we can follow up? We didn't hear of any other issues with the website, so we would love to hear from you about what happened so that we can make sure it doesn't happen again.
